The issuer name BANCO DE PORTUGAL and the denomination 5000 / CINCO MIL ESCUDOS appear to the left, with the date LISBOA, 12 DE FEVEREIRO DE 1987 and two facsimile signatures of the Governor and Vice-Governor printed below the central vignette. The serial number in the upper right and lower left corners, along with the check number ch.2, complete the face design. |
