| Obverse description | Plain cream paper ground enclosed within a red dotted and geometric border, with the heading in Gothic blackletter type reading 'Notgeld der Stadt Zweibrücken' across the top, followed by a line of smaller text citing the statutory basis of issue dated 13 August 1923. The denomination 'Fünf Millionen Mark' is rendered in large Gothic script at centre, flanked by the series letter 'Lit. K' at left and a printed serial number at right in red. A large central oval guilloche vignette encloses a detailed architectural view of the Zweibrücken town hall and surrounding square. At the top and bottom of the oval, octagonal cartouches carry the numeral '5000000' above the word 'MARK', and two further rectangular value panels repeating '5000000 MARK' flank the vignette at left and right.
