A large diamond-shaped green vignette occupies the centre of the field, with the word "Mark" in red Fraktur above the large numeral "5000000" in bold red figures. A prominent red circular official stamp of the Landratsamt Ahrweiler, bearing an eagle device, is applied at the lower centre.
