| Obverse description | Notgeld voucher (Gutschein) printed in dark blue and red on white paper with a light green guilloche underprint throughout the field. A bold red ornamental chain-link border runs along the entire left margin, with the denomination numeral printed vertically within it. The denomination "Fünf Millionen Mark" is set in large red Fraktur script across the centre, above a four-line text block confirming acceptance by the Kreissparkasse Ahrweiler and the guarantee of the Kreis Ahrweiler, dated "Ahrweiler, den 5. Juli 1923" with a printed serial number in red at lower right. Multiple manuscript signatures of district committee members appear at the foot of the note beneath the issuing authority line. |

| Reverse description | The reverse is printed in red and dark blue on white paper with a light green guilloche underprint. A large diamond-shaped green vignette occupies the centre of the field, with the word "Mark" in red Fraktur above the large numeral "5000000" in bold red figures. The denomination "5000000 M." and "M. 5000000" appears in each corner in blue. A prominent red circular official stamp of the Landratsamt Ahrweiler, bearing an eagle device, is applied at the lower centre. The same red ornamental chain-link border as the obverse runs along the right margin, with the text "Kreis Ahrweiler" printed vertically within it. |
