| 备注 |
Kaiserslautern was among hundreds of German municipalities forced to print their own emergency money during the hyperinflationary collapse of 1923, as the Reichsbank simply could not produce currency fast enough to keep pace with depreciation. A note denominated at five million marks would have been a meaningful sum for a matter of days — perhaps hours — before inflation rendered it functionally worthless and a higher denomination took its place.
H. Schugardt was a local commercial printer, not a security press. The signatures of Müller and Kunz represent city treasury officials, whose authorization gave this Notgeld its limited municipal validity.
