The upper portion bears the denomination heading in red print reading "Goed voor Rijksdaalders 400" alongside a series letter and number designation at upper left, with the written-out value "Zegge vier honderd Rijksdaallers" below in italic script. A substantial body of Dutch text in Roman type details the terms of the issue, referencing the Hollandsche Indische Gouvernement and the lands of Probolingo, Besoekie, and Panaroekan, followed by a parallel Malay-Arabic (Jawi script) text occupying the lower half. The note is dated "Batavia den 3den van Wintermaand 1810" and bears multiple manuscript signatures, the printed handstamp "GEZIEN" in red at lower left, and a circular black official seal. |
