The architectural context of the facade is suggested by engraved pilaster and frieze details flanking the composition at the sides and top. At the base, within a recessed panel, the series inscription MASTERPIECES OF CRAFTS and the dedication NOTRE DAME DE PARIS appear in capital letters, accompanied by the CIT maker's mark. |
