| Reverse description | The reverse presents a highly detailed sculptural rendering of the north rose window of Notre-Dame de Paris, with the Gothic tracery faithfully reproduced in high relief around the central rosette. The multi-petalled window design radiates outward from a central roundel, with each lancet and foiled compartment inlaid with brilliant multicoloured holographic elements simulating the cathedral's celebrated medieval stained glass. The architectural context of the facade is suggested by engraved pilaster and frieze details flanking the composition at the sides and top. At the base, within a recessed panel, the series inscription MASTERPIECES OF CRAFTS and the dedication NOTRE DAME DE PARIS appear in capital letters, accompanied by the CIT maker's mark. |
