| Description du revers | The field presents a large, vigorously rearing Saxon white horse to the right, its body marked with a small crowned escutcheon on the flank, serving as the dynastic emblem of the House of Welf. Below the horse, a detailed panoramic scene of the Harz mining landscape is depicted: miners at work, mine shaft headframes, smelting buildings, and figures engaged in ore processing, all rendered with fine engraving characteristic of Ausbeute (mine-yield) coinage. A laurel branch is visible above the horse. The outer border features a beaded or rope ornament, with the reverse legend 'EX AURO ET ARGENTO HARZIAE' ('From the gold and silver of the Harz') running around the circumference. |
