The composition is rendered in the late medieval Venetian hammered style typical of the early sixteenth century. A horizontal line separates the main figural field from the exergue below, which contains the mintmaster's initials. The circumferential Latin legend runs around the periphery of the coin, interrupted by pellets as dividers. |
