Reverse description The Bolivian national arms of the 1830 type occupy the central field, depicting two llamas passant flanking a breadnut tree (quina), with a row of six five-pointed stars arranged in two groups of three above the central device. The legend REPUBLICA BOLIVIANA arcs along the upper periphery, separated from the field by a beaded border. The lower exergual area bears the mint and denomination inscription 4S·1830·J·L, identifying the Potosí mint, denomination of four soles, date of issue, and assayer initials. The reeded edge and overall fabric are consistent with Bolivian silver coinage of the early republican period.
