The circular legend reads the abbreviated title of Jean-Théodore of Bavaria, Cardinal and Duke, arranged around the shield. The heraldic composition is rendered in a bold baroque style typical of mid-18th century ecclesiastical coinage of the Prince-Bishopric of Liège. |
