| Obverse description | Quartered coat of arms of the Bishopric of Eichstätt, flanked on either side by palm branches, displayed over crossed episcopal crozier and sword in saltire. The shield is surmounted by an angel head wearing a mitre, serving as a decorative cartouche finial. The episcopal arms are rendered in a late Baroque heraldic style typical of late 17th-century German ecclesiastical coinage. The encircling legend in Latin identifies the issuing bishop by name and title. |

At his feet is an oval shield bearing a crozier, which divides the mintmaster initials. The date 1694 appears within the circumferential legend, and the numeral 4, denoting the denomination in Kreuzer, appears in the lower field beneath the figure, dividing the legend. The composition reflects the standard late Baroque treatment of patron saints on south German ecclesiastical coinage. |
