Obverse description Small laureate and draped bust of Fernando VII facing right, the hair tied at the nape with a ribbon bow, truncation showing draped shoulders. The effigy is rendered in a relatively compact, unidealized style characteristic of the early Lima small-bust coinage. The circumferential legend reads FERDIN·VII·D·G·HISP·ET IND·R·, with the date 1812 positioned in the lower exergual area flanked by pellet stops. The whole is enclosed within a toothed or milled border.
