| Obverse description | Draped armored bust of Carlos III facing right, depicted in a naturalistic Baroque style with a curled, powdered wig tied with a ribbon. The royal effigy shows fine detail in the lace cravat and armored cuirass. A circular Latin legend surrounds the portrait, reading from left of the bust and continuing to the right, with the date 1781 displayed in the lower exergue flanked by small ornamental dots. The coin's milled edge is visible at the periphery. |
