| Beschrijving keerzijde | Fully epigraphic reverse, the field covered entirely by multiple horizontal registers of Arabic legend in bold relief, consistent with Jaunpur Sultanate hammered coinage of the mid-fifteenth century. The inscription reads 'Al-Khalifa Amir al-Mu'minin, khulidat khilafatahu' (May his caliphate endure), invoking the Abbasid caliph as the nominal sovereign and affirming the sultan's legitimacy within the broader Sunni political framework. The script is deeply struck but shows characteristic irregularity of a hand-hammered flan, with letters extending nearly to the coin's edge. |
