A circular Latin legend surrounds the device, reading the Grand Master's name and titles, with the date 1761 incorporated into the legend at the left. | Popis rubu | The reverse presents a standing full-length figure of St. John the Baptist in high relief at centre, depicted semi-draped with a cloak, holding a staff or reed cross in his left hand and gesturing with his right, standing above a recumbent lamb (Agnus Dei) at his feet, with rocky and vegetal ground elements in the lower field. The circular Latin legend in the upper portion of the field reads NON SURREXIT MAIOR ("There hath not risen a greater"), referencing Christ's words regarding John the Baptist. The denomination T·XXX (Tari 30) is inscribed in the lower exergue. The border is composed of a uniform ring of milled beads consistent with the obverse. |
