正面描述 The obverse is printed in black on plain paper with an ornate guilloche border framing the entire note. The denomination numeral "30" appears at the top centre and repeated on both lateral margins. The central text block, in Hungarian, reads "Harmincz pengő krajczárra" in bold letterpress, followed by a clause stating that two notes equal one forint and are receivable at all Hungarian state treasuries. The date "Budán 1849-ki január 1-én" is printed below, with the issuing authority "Az országos honvédelmi bizottmány rendeletéből" beneath it, accompanied by a manuscript facsimile signature and a small Hungarian coat of arms vignette at lower centre.

备注

The Országos Honvédelmi Bizottmány — the National Defense Committee led by Lajos Kossuth — issued this note during the Hungarian Revolution of 1848–49, when the breakaway government needed to finance a war against Habsburg imperial forces with no established central bank behind it. The 30 krajcár denomination was a practical choice, pitched at everyday transaction value rather than the larger treasury instruments used for government payments.

Printing in Buda while the military situation remained fluid was a logistical achievement in itself. After the Russian intervention crushed the revolution in August 1849, the Habsburg authorities moved to suppress these issues entirely — holders were left with worthless paper almost overnight.
