| Obverse description | Draped bust of Empress Maria Theresia facing right, enclosed within a lozenge (rhombus) frame, with the denomination numeral below a horizontal line at the base of the lozenge. The Latin legend, reading 'MARIA THERESIA D G R I GE HU BO REG', is divided into four segments by the corners of the rhombus and distributed around the coin field. The portrait is rendered in the baroque court style typical of mid-18th century Habsburg coinage. |

The entire design is enclosed within a lozenge (rhombus) frame, the corners of which divide the Latin legend into four segments distributed around the field. The legend abbreviates 'Archidux Austriae Dux Burgundiae Comes Tyrolis', and the date of issue appears in the lower segment of the rhombus in place of the year inscription. |
