Oberschlierbach is a small Upper Austrian village, and this 30 Heller notgeld is exactly the kind of hyperlocal emergency issue that flooded Austria between 1920 and 1922 — municipalities printing fractional denominations to fill the void left by a hoarded and disintegrating coinage supply. Karl Huber in Urfahr was a regional print shop, not a security printer, and that shows in the production quality typical of these small-run community issues.
The Jaksc/Pick reference JPR0694a places this within the broader Austrian notgeld cataloguing system. Villages of this size rarely issued more than a few thousand pieces across their series.
