Obverse description The central vignette, set within a pointed shield-shaped frame, presents a view of the Karner (charnel house) of Lorch with a cross in the foreground, rendered in a fine line-art style evoking Gothic architectural illustration. Flanking the central shield are two tall Gothic arch panels, each bearing the denomination numeral '30' above the inscription 'HELLER' in bold letterpress. The issuer name 'GEMEINDE LORCH.' runs along the lower margin between two diamond ornaments, with the notation '2. Auflage' (2nd issue) printed below the frame at lower left.

Lorch — known in Roman times as Lauriacum — was the site of a major legionary fortress and one of the earliest Christian communities in the Danubian provinces. The municipality's decision to issue Notgeld in 1920 was driven by the same coin shortage gripping most of provincial Austria after the collapse of the Habsburg economy, not any local crisis specific to Lorch.

Printed by Buchdruckerei Enns, a small regional press in the nearby town of Enns, the production quality is modest even by Notgeld standards. The 0564b designation in the Jaksch catalog distinguishes this from an earlier Lorch emission — minor variations in text or color separate the two issues.
