| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse features a bold, large-format typographic design with the Slovenian words 'SAMO STOJNA DRŽAVA' ('Independent State') rendered in oversized sans-serif lettering that dominates the entire field, creating a strong graphic statement. The year '1990' appears at the top of the design, while the commemorative inscription '30. OBLETNICA PLEBISCITA' ('30th Anniversary of the Plebiscite') is displayed in smaller lettering in the lower portion of the field. |

The plebiscite in question took place on 23 December 1990, when 88.5% of eligible Slovenian voters chose independence from Yugoslavia — one of the cleanest mandates in any dissolution-era referendum on the continent. Slovenia's formal separation followed six months later, after the Ten-Day War and subsequent international recognition.
Part of Slovenia's ongoing commemorative silver program, which has issued collector pieces tied to national milestones since euro adoption in 2007.
