The reverse, also executed in embossed gold foil relief on a dark ground, carries a central vignette of tropical flora and fauna: a Jacaranda tree in bloom dominates the centre, its feathery fronds and clusters of flowers rendered in fine detail, while a Zebra Butterfly rests to the lower right and a second large butterfly occupies the left foreground. Decorative laurel and floral borders line the lateral margins, with denomination numerals "30" in oval cartouches at each corner and the legend "THIRTY DOLLARS" inscribed in a rectangular panel along the lower edge. |
