背面描述 A stylised Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft is depicted in dynamic flight, passing through a large numeral 100 that dominates the central field, commemorating the centenary of Qantas Airways. A map of Australia is rendered in the lower portion of the field, while the iconic Qantas Flying Kangaroo symbol appears to the right. The legends QANTAS 1920 2020 and the denomination 30 DOLLARS are inscribed within the design, and the coin is struck in proof finish with gold plating highlighting key design elements.

附加信息

QANTAS — Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services — began operations in 1920 with a single Avro 504K and two pilots serving remote Queensland outposts. A century later it is the world's third-oldest continuously operating airline, having survived the Great Depression, wartime requisition by the RAAF, and two near-bankruptcies. This coin marks that centenary.

The gold-plated finish on fine silver at this scale is a production challenge the RAM has pursued increasingly since the mid-2010s, requiring uniform plating across a surface area that punishes any inconsistency in the galvanic process.
