Beschrijving voorzijde Effigy of King Charles III facing left, rendered in high relief as an uncrowned, draped bust after the portrait by Dominic Thomas, whose initials 'DT' appear below the truncation. The legend 'CHARLES III' arcs along the upper left field and 'AUSTRALIA' along the upper right, while the denomination '30 DOLLARS' curves along the lower periphery, flanked by two raised dots. The design occupies a broad, flat field typical of large-format bullion coinage.

Aanvullende informatie

The Australian Koala series has been struck in kilogram format since 1992, making it one of the longer-running bullion programs of its kind from the Perth Mint. Charles III's effigy appears here for the first time on this denomination following the transition from Elizabeth II's portrait — a changeover that required new obverse dies across the entire Australian bullion coin program simultaneously in 2023.

Perth's .9999 fineness standard for this series exceeds the traditional .999 threshold, a distinction the mint has maintained since refining its silver processing capabilities in the 1990s.
