| Obverse description | The obverse features a central depiction of the Temple of Heaven (Tiāntán) in Beijing, rendered in fine detail with its characteristic triple-eaved circular hall set upon a tiered marble terrace. Surrounding the temple in an arc along the upper periphery is the inscription 中华人民共和国 (People's Republic of China) in Chinese characters. Along the lower portion of the field, flanking the date 2007, is the commemorative inscription 中国熊猫金币发行25周年纪念 (Commemorating the 25th Anniversary of the Issuance of Chinese Panda Gold Coins). The design is executed in high-relief proof style against a mirror-polished field. |
