Obverse description At centre, the State Emblem of the Bank of Russia — a double-headed eagle with wings lowered — rendered in relief within a beaded circle. Beneath the eagle, a semicircular legend reads БАНК РОССИИ (Bank of Russia). Along the outer rim, divided by dots, the denomination ТРИ РУБЛЯ (Three Roubles) and the year of issue 2012 are inscribed, interspersed with the metallic composition designation Ag 925, the fine precious metal content 31,1, and the Saint Petersburg Mint privy mark СПМД.
