正面描述 The obverse features the State Emblem of the Russian Federation — a double-headed eagle displayed, each head surmounted by a crown and the ensemble topped by a larger imperial crown, the eagle holding an orb in its right talon and a sceptre in its left, with the shield of St. George slaying the dragon on its breast. The legend РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ curves along the upper periphery, while БАНК РОССИИ, 3 РУБЛЯ, and 2016 г. are inscribed in three lines along the lower field. The fineness designation Ag 925 appears to the lower left and the weight indicator 31,1 to the lower right, accompanied by the Saint Petersburg Mint mark (СПМД) beneath it. Two decorative diamond-shaped ornaments flank the eagle in the mid-field.

背面描述 The reverse presents a highly detailed relief depiction of the Great Imperial Crown of Russia, a celebrated artifact of the Diamond Fund of the Kremlin, rendered in fine proof finish against a finely engraved scrollwork background that fills the inner field. The crown is shown in three-quarter frontal view, its two jewel-encrusted hemispherical arches set with faceted stones rising to a central band, surmounted by a cross atop an orb finial. The intricate granulation and gem settings are faithfully reproduced, conveying the opulence of the original regalia. The curved legend АЛМАЗНЫЙ ФОНД РОССИИИ arcs along the upper periphery in Cyrillic capitals. The mirror-polished border ring provides sharp contrast against the frosted central design, characteristic of proof coinage.

附加信息

The three-rouble denomination has been used by the Bank of Russia almost exclusively for commemorative silver issues since the early 1990s, functioning as a collector vehicle rather than a circulating denomination. This particular issue commemorates the Imperial Crown of Russia, the principal coronation crown used at every Russian imperial coronation from Catherine the Great in 1762 through Nicholas II in 1896 — eight coronations in total.

The crown itself survives in the Kremlin Armoury, having never left Russia.
