| Descrizione del dritto | Central field displays the quartered royal arms of Sweden surmounted by a royal crown. The upper-left and lower-right quarters bear three crowns in pale (the Folkung Arms), while the upper-right quarter displays the lion of the Folkunga dynasty passant. An escutcheon at the centre of the shield bears the lion of the house of Vasa. The entire composition is rendered in low relief in the hammered style typical of early 18th-century Baltic coinage. The circular Latin legend reading CAROL : XII - D : G : R : SVEC runs along the periphery, referencing King Charles XII of Sweden by his royal title. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | Central device consists of the Riga city arms: a crowned orb with a cross above, enclosed within a circular frame, with the denomination numeral 24 (indicating 1/24 Thaler) displayed beneath the crown within the orb, and the value numeral 3 (for 3 Polker) placed below the central device. The date is split and incorporated into the surrounding Latin legend. The peripheral legend MON : NOV - CIV : RIG : 17 - 01 24 3 identifies this as a new municipal coinage of the City of Riga, with the date 1701 divided around the design, consistent with the hammered coinage technique of the period. |
