Obverse description Royal cypher consisting of the interlaced initials 'VF' (for Victor Friedrich) in the form of a large V with an H set within, surmounted by a princely crown with pearled arches, all rendered in bold relief against a plain field. The coin's border is defined by a fine milled or beaded rim. No legend appears on the obverse, the crowned monogram serving as the sole identifying device. The design is characteristic of mid-18th century German petty coinage from the Anhalt principalities.
