| 背面描述 | The denomination 'III' appears prominently at the top of the field in large raised numerals, followed by 'PFENNIG' in bold capital letters on the next line, and the date '1807' below. A decorative wreath or ornamental branch motif runs along the lower portion of the field, serving as a base element. The overall design is plain and typographic, with no figural imagery. |

Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld was a minor Thuringian duchy caught badly by the Napoleonic reorganization of German territories. Ernest I lost Saalfeld to the newly created Kingdom of Westphalia in 1807 — which makes this a coinage window of striking brevity, issued while the duchy's borders and survival were genuinely in question. The Confederation of the Rhine reshuffled Ernestine Saxon lands repeatedly in these years, and small copper issues like this one often saw interrupted production mid-series.
