| Beschrijving voorzijde | Left-facing crowned effigy of King George VI occupies the central field, modelled by Percy Metcalfe and bearing the engraver's initials 'PM' below the truncation. The king is depicted bare-shouldered and wearing the Imperial State Crown, rendered in fine detail with arched bands, crosses, and fleurs-de-lis. The circumscribed legend reads 'GEORGE VI KING EMPEROR' in raised Latin capital letters, distributed around the periphery of the dodecagonal flan. |

A tall palm tree flanks each side of the structure, framing the composition symmetrically. The legend 'FIJI' and the date '1947' arc across the upper periphery, while the denomination 'THREE PENCE' is inscribed in a curved legend along the lower portion of the dodecagonal flan. The design was engraved by George James Berry. |
