| Obverse description | Right-facing crowned effigy of King George V, draped in robes of state with visible regalia detail at the shoulder. The portrait, modelled by Sir Edgar Bertram Mackennal, presents the King wearing the Imperial State Crown with beaded arches and cross pattée. The truncation is bare. A continuous Latin legend encircles the effigy within a beaded border, reading from the lower left and running around the full circumference of the field. |
