The numeral 3, indicating the denomination of three Kreuzer, appears prominently at the base of the design below the saint's feet. The surrounding Latin legend S RVDBERT EPS SALZBR identifies the saint as Bishop Rupert of Salzburg. The composition is enclosed within a ropetwist border consistent with the obverse. |
