| Obverse description | Draped bust of Empress Maria Theresia facing right, her hair arranged in loose curls and gathered at the nape, wearing a lace-trimmed bodice. The effigy occupies the central field, rendered in fine relief in the Baroque court style. The surrounding legend reads M. THERES. D. G. R. IMP. GE. HU. BO. REG., abbreviated titles identifying her as Empress of Rome, Queen of Germany, Hungary, and Bohemia. The legend is separated from the inner field by a fine beaded border running along the coin's circumference. |
