The portrait is rendered in the typical Germanic baroque style of the early seventeenth century. A beaded inner circle frames the effigy. The surrounding legend reads IO:GEORG:COM:IN.ZOLL:S.R.I, abbreviated from the ruler's full title as Count of Zollern and Prince of the Holy Roman Empire.
