| Aversbeschreibung | Central device comprises a large heart-shaped cartouche enclosing a saltire (diagonal cross), with the initials E, V, I, and C placed in the four quarters formed by the cross arms, representing the East India Company (VOC-adjacent monogram). The numeral 4 appears prominently above the heart at the top of the field, while the date 1787 is divided across the lower field with 17 to the left and 87 to the right of the heart's base. A small floral rosette ornament is positioned at the bottom center below the heart. The entire design is contained within a broad beaded border running the full circumference of the coin. |

| Reversbeschreibung | The reverse presents a bold central Jawi (Arabic-script Malay) inscription reading 'tiga keping' (three kepings), rendered in an elegant cursive script and occupying the center of the field. The Arabic-Eastern numeral 3 appears at the top of the field above the inscription, and the Hijri year 1202 is inscribed in Arabic numerals at the base. Flanking the central inscription on both sides are decorative arrangements of small diamond-shaped lozenges. The entire central design is framed by a wreath of laurel or olive branches, tied at the base, with the whole enclosed within a fine beaded border. |
