| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field displays the crowned arms of the United Provinces of the Netherlands — a shield bearing a rampant lion holding a sword and a bundle of arrows — surmounted by an elaborate crowned helmet. The denomination numeral '3' appears to the left of the shield and the letter 'G' to the right. A circular Latin legend runs along the periphery, reading MO · ARG · ORD · FAED · BELG · CIV · DAVENT, identifying this as the silver coinage of the federated Belgian provinces struck for the city of Deventer. The overall design is characteristic of late 17th-century Dutch civic coinage. |

Radiating lines in the field behind her suggest divine or civic glory. The date 1698 is inscribed in the exergue below the figure. The surrounding Latin legend HAC NITIMVR HANC TVEMVR — meaning 'By this we strive, this we defend' — encircles the design, a standard motto of the Dutch Republic. |
