正面描述	The Isle of Wight civic arms occupies the central field, depicting a shield charged with a castle flanked by anchors, supported on the dexter by a rearing horse and on the sinister by a sea-horse (hippocampus), with a mural crown as crest above. A scroll beneath the shield bears the motto ALL BEAUTY IS OF GOD. The outer border features a stylised gear-tooth or castellated decorative ring, within which small figures representing islanders appear at the sides. The legend ISLE OF WIGHT arcs along the upper periphery, and the date 1996 is inscribed at the base.

背面描述	A draped bust of Queen Victoria in her later years, veiled and wearing a pearl necklace, is portrayed facing left in high relief at the centre of the field. Behind and below the bust, a detailed panoramic view of Osborne House, the Royal residence on the Isle of Wight, is rendered in low relief, showing its Italianate façade, campanile towers, terraced gardens, statuary, and ornamental grounds. The legend OSBORNE HOUSE arcs along the upper periphery within the same castellated border present on the obverse, while the denomination 3 ECUS - 2 POUNDS is inscribed along the lower portion of the border.
