The saint holds a bishop's crozier in his left hand and an attribute in his right, his robes rendered with fine drapery lines characteristic of Renaissance die-cutting. The circular Latin legend S RVDBERTVS EPVS SALZBVRGEN surrounds the figure along the outer border, identifying the saint as Bishop Rupert of Salzburg.
