Beschrijving voorzijde Bare head of Augustus facing right, rendered in a classical Julio-Claudian portrait style with neatly combed hair falling in short locks over the forehead. The effigy is set at center, occupying much of the flan, with the neck and upper shoulder faintly visible. A circular Latin legend surrounds the portrait along the rim, reading IMP AVG DIVI F. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show a deep green patina consistent with prolonged burial. The die work is bold but the strike is somewhat off-center, a common characteristic of Hispanian provincial issues of this period.
Schrift voorzijde Latin

Beschrijving keerzijde A large legionary aquila (eagle standard) depicted frontally at center, set upon a decorated shaft flanked by two military signa (standards), one to each side. The composition is typical of the Emerita colonial coinage associated with Augustus's veteran settlement program in Lusitania. The standards and central eagle are rendered in strong, schematic lines with interlocking decorative elements visible on the shaft. Traces of a surrounding Latin legend are visible along the rim, though heavily worn and largely illegible on this example. The overall style is provincial and robust, reflecting a military iconographic program intended to celebrate the Augustan legions.
