The figure occupies the majority of the central field, with the mint date appearing in two digits to the right of the bust within the field. A beaded outer border contains the circular Latin legend LIBERTAS · AVRO · PRETIOSIOR · OMNI · BELGICA, proclaiming that liberty is more precious than all the gold of the Netherlands, distributed around the full periphery of the coin. |
