The denomination numeral '28' appears to the left of the shield and 'ST' to the right, indicating 28 Stuivers. A beaded border frames the entire design, with the circular Latin legend distributed around the periphery reading FLOR · ARGENT · ORD · GRON · EN · OMLAN 28 ST, interrupted by a small floral ornament. |

| Description du revers | Facing left, the armored bust of a warrior or personification of Liberty rendered in bold relief, wearing a plumed hat and gorget with elaborately detailed cuirass. The figure occupies the majority of the central field, with the mint date appearing in two digits to the right of the bust within the field. A beaded outer border contains the circular Latin legend LIBERTAS · AVRO · PRETIOSIOR · OMNI · BELGICA, proclaiming that liberty is more precious than all the gold of the Netherlands, distributed around the full periphery of the coin. |
