| 背面描述 | The reverse presents a finely detailed view of the Astronomical Tower of the Klementinum Observatory in Prague, depicted in elevation rising from the lower field into a dramatic burst of radiating sunbeams that fill the upper portion of the coin. A large armillary sphere or astronomical ring is shown above the tower, with a crescent moon and scattered stars to the left, and a stylised eagle motif completing the celestial scene. The year of issue '2006' is inscribed in the exergual area flanking the tower base. The curved legend 'OBSERVATOR PRAŽSKÉ KLEMENTINUM' runs along the lower periphery, with decorative separators, in precise Latin lettering characteristic of Czech proof gold commemoratives. |

The Klementinum complex, originally a Jesuit college founded in the 1560s, housed one of Central Europe's most important astronomical observatories from the early 18th century onward. The meteorological and astronomical records kept there constitute the longest continuous dataset of their kind in Central Europe — daily observations logged without interruption since 1775.
The Czech National Bank issued this coin to mark the observatory's enduring scientific contribution, part of a broader series celebrating Czech cultural and historical monuments. KM#90 is a low-mintage issue, as is typical of Czech gold commemoratives from this period, with production figures rarely exceeding a few thousand pieces.
