Reverse description The reverse presents a finely detailed view of the Astronomical Tower of the Klementinum Observatory in Prague, depicted in elevation rising from the lower field into a dramatic burst of radiating sunbeams that fill the upper portion of the coin. A large armillary sphere or astronomical ring is shown above the tower, with a crescent moon and scattered stars to the left, and a stylised eagle motif completing the celestial scene. The year of issue '2006' is inscribed in the exergual area flanking the tower base. The curved legend 'OBSERVATOR PRAŽSKÉ KLEMENTINUM' runs along the lower periphery, with decorative separators, in precise Latin lettering characteristic of Czech proof gold commemoratives.
