正面描述 Central field features a quatrefoil-shaped recessed panel containing three colored enamel religious figures: at the top, the Black Madonna of Częstochowa with the Christ Child, depicted with a golden halo against a dark background; at the lower left, a standing figure of a royal or saintly personage in gilded armor holding a staff; and at the lower right, a bishop in red and gold vestments holding a crozier. The quatrefoil motif is rendered in polished relief against a frosted field. The legend REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN arcs along the upper rim, while the denomination 2500 and FRANCS CFA appear at the lower left and right respectively, with the date 2016 inscribed centrally below the quatrefoil and the fineness mark Ag999 at the lower left.

附加信息

The Congress of Gniezno in 1000 AD was a meeting between Holy Roman Emperor Otto III and Bolesław I of Poland, held at the tomb of Saint Adalbert. Otto's gesture of placing his imperial diadem on Bolesław's head — and what that act did or did not signify about Polish sovereignty — has been debated by historians for a millennium. The congress is considered a founding moment of the Polish state's international recognition.

That a Central African franc-denominated coin commemorates a medieval Polish event reflects the well-established practice of BEAC-affiliated mints producing collector issues with no connection to the issuing territory's history.
