Additional information

Somalia's numismatic output in the 2000s was largely the product of licensed foreign distributors — the Somali government itself had no functional mint and minimal oversight of what was issued in its name. This Tutankhamun series has no meaningful connection to Somalia as a nation, and the "250 Shillings" denomination was never a circulating value in any Somali monetary system. Gold-plated copper-nickel marketed as a collectible rather than currency.
