The colossal gilded figure is shown in profile facing left, with radiating lines in the background evoking a halo or aura. The Buddha's elaborately curled hair is rendered in precise spiral relief along the right portion of the field. The legend WORLD BUDDHA HERITAGE 2011 arcs along the lower rim, with WAT PHO / THAILAND inscribed in the lower central field.
