| Description de l’avers | The obverse presents a finely detailed high-relief bust of Napoléon Bonaparte in three-quarter profile facing left, depicted wearing his iconic bicorne hat with gold-coloured enamel highlights and a decorative cockade. His uniform collar and epaulettes are rendered with intricate engraved detail. The overall coin blank is shaped to follow the silhouette of the bicorne hat surmounting the bust, giving the piece a distinctive sculptural quality. The entire composition is executed in the antique silver finish with selectively applied colour, emphasising the hat against the polished field of the portrait. |

| Description du revers | The reverse is shaped identically to the obverse in the form of Napoleon's bicorne hat silhouette. The upper portion of the field bears the legend NAPOLEON BONAPARTE / 1769 - 1821 arched across the crown of the hat, with the date 2021 to the left and the fineness mark 5 OZ / AG 999 to the right. At centre, the circular arms of the Republic of Djibouti are displayed within a beaded border, featuring two crossed spears and a shield supported by laurel branches, with the legend REPUBLIQUE DE DJIBOUTI and the denomination 250 FRANCS below. The lower section of the field is decorated with Napoleonic bees scattered across a contrasting background, and a framed cartouche at the base bears the famous aphorism: LA MORT N'EST RIEN, MAIS VIVRE VAINCU ET SANS GLOIRE, C'EST MOURIR TOUS LES JOURS. |
