Obverse description Central field features a circular cartouche enclosing the denomination numeral 250 in Arabic script above the word فلساً (fils), flanked symmetrically by a wheat ear to the left and an olive branch to the right, both rendered in fine relief. The upper field carries a multi-line Arabic legend reading الجمهوريه العراقيه (Iraqi Republic) in flowing calligraphic script. The dual date 1391 - 1971, representing both the Hijri and Gregorian years, appears below the central cartouche. The coin is framed by a toothed border running the full circumference.
